Lamont is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located 60 kilometers (37 mi) east of Edmonton at the junction of Highway 15 and Highway 831.

In 2007, in response to massive oilsands-related developments in the nearby Alberta Industrial Heartland northeast of Edmonton, the town of Lamont announced plans to create a new subdivision that would triple the population of the town, and change it from an agricultural centre to a bedroom community.
