Laila Morse (born Maureen Oldman on 1 August 1945) is an English actress, best known for playing Mo Harris in BBC series EastEnders and Janet in the 1997 movie Nil by Mouth (which was written and directed by her younger brother, Hollywood actor Gary Oldman).

"Laila Morse" is an anagram of an Italian phrase for "my sister" (Mia Sorella) - a name she got from Oldman's then girlfriend Isabella Rossellini.

She was married to Gerald Bromfield from 1962 to 1970 and they had two children, Gerry and Tracy Bromfield.

She is a breast cancer survivor. She was born in Bermondsey, and currently lives in New Cross, South East London
