"La neige au Sahara" is Anggun's first French language single from her debut album, Au Nom de la Lune. There's also an English version of the song, "Snow on the Sahara", released in album Snow on the Sahara in 1998.

The song was written, produced and arranged by Erick Benzi. The song is mainly built on synthesizers and keyboards sounds, mixed with tribal beats. It is considered to be an adult contemporary song by some^{[by whom?]}, whilst some others^[who?] may consider it a World Music song.

It was also the most played song on French radio stations in late 1997 and being one of Hits of Summer 1997, being the first and the higest charted song of Asian artist in France, peaking at number 16.
