The LCF Rothschild Group is a private banking group. It was established by Edmond de Rothschild (1926-1997) in 1953 [1]. Since 1997, the Group is owned and managed by the founder's son, Baron Benjamin de Rothschild.

LCF Holding Benjamin and Edmond de Rothschild S.A. is the principal holding of the financial group controlled by Benjamin de Rothschild. Other holdings include:

• 77% of the Banque privée Edmond de Rothschild, parent of the Swiss group. The shares are listed in the Swiss Stock Market.

• 97% of the Compagnie Financière Saint-Honoré, head holding of the French group, which owns the Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild, a French private bank.

The LCF group also contains the Compagnie Benjamin de Rotschild, set up in 1989 in Geneva by Benjamin de Rothschild, which offers leading edge services in managing financial risks. The group is present in 17 countries and has more than 30 offices worldwide, reportedly financing €100bn of assets in 2008.

Under the direction of Baron Benjamin de Rothschild and his wife Ariane de Rothschild, the group has developed some investments in viniculture, luxury hotels, and other aspects of fine living. The LCF Rothschild group has invested into wine, notably with Château Clarke and Château des Laurets, in the heart of Médoc, in South of Africa with the Rupert family and also in Argentina. The group owns the Domaine du Mont d’Arbois Palace in the the French Alpine resort of Megève, which was created by Baronne Noémie de Rothschild in 1921.
