LANcouver was a LAN party hosted on the North Shore [1] of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was started in January 2004 and has had six successful parties, having its last one on May 2006. The event attracted an average of approximately 150–200 attendees per event. LANcouver was a BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) event, which means that everyone attending brings their own PC. Network resources (such as switches and network cable) are supplied and connected by the administrators on-site during the event.
