Kurt Thomas Abbott (born June 2, 1969 in Zanesville, Ohio) is a former Major League Baseball player who played primarily as a shortstop from 1993-2001.
In his Major League career, Abbott played for the Oakland Athletics (1993, 1998), Florida Marlins (1994-1997), Colorado Rockies (1998-1999), New York Mets (2000) and Atlanta Braves (2001). He appeared in the 1997 World Series with the Florida Marlins and the 2000 World Series with the Mets. In 1995, Abbott hit a career high 17 home runs for the Marlins.
