The Kroger 200 is a race in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (formerly Busch Series), which takes place at O'Reilly Raceway Park (formerly Indianapolis Raceway Park). It originally debuted as a summer night race, as the only major NASCAR event in the state of Indiana. In 1994, it was moved to the night before the Sprint Cup Series Brickyard 400 at the nearby Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It serves as an unofficial support race for the Brickyard 400. From 1994-2000, it was held Friday night. Since 2001, it has been held on Saturday night. Since 1995, the race has been held as a doubleheader weekend with the NASCAR Truck Series AAA Insurance 200. The race has been sponsored by Kroger since its 1982 inception, the only race to keep its title sponsor since the inception of the series.
