Kincora Ballpark is a 5,500-seat baseball park in Ashburn, Virginia that will host an Atlantic League of Professional Baseball expansion team in 2011. The LEEDS-certified stadium will be part of the larger Kincora Village development - to be constructed entirely without public funds. The plans for Kincora Village include 901,211 square feet (83,725.2 m2) of office space allocated between eight buildings, 74,000 square feet (6,900 m2) of commercial space, 1,400 multi-family homes, community baseball fields, a YMCA center, a performing arts center, hotels, a nature preserve, parks, trails, and a fire/rescue station. [edit] HistoryKincora Village developers first petitioned Loudoun County officials to build its multi-use complex in December 2008. The pending 337-acre (136.379-hectare) development is near the intersections of Routes 28 and 7, and in close proximity to the Dulles Town Center and the Washington Dulles International Airport. Kincora Ballpark was approved by Loudoun County's Transportation/Land Use Committee with a 2-1 vote on June 29, 2009.[1] [edit] References[edit] External linksCoordinates: 39°2′32″N 77°26′16″W / 39.04222°N 77.43778°W
