[edit] Team

Bisu started his professional gaming career being part of MBCGame Hero, a South Korean Starcraft e-Sports team sponsored by MBCGame, a subsidiary of MBC Plus which is a company owned by the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, one of four major South Korean television and radio networks.

Bisu was initially recruited onto MBCGame Hero (known then as Pirates of Space) in early 2005 to combat the lack of Protoss players on the team. Bisu started playing teamplay games for his team, before moving onto individual matches. In February 2008 Bisu transferred to rival team SK Telecom T1.

[edit] Success

In March 2007, at the GOMTV MBCGame Star League (MSL) Season 1 grand finals, Bisu beat the number one ranked player and heavy favorite, sAviOr, by an unprecedented score of 3-0, shocking the StarCraft world.[1] In May 2007, Bisu won the Blizzard Entertainment World Wide Invitational, defeating sAviOr for a second time in the finals with a 2-1 score.[2] In July 2007, Bisu defeated the rising Protoss star Stork 3-2 to earn his second GOMTV MSL final. This earned Bisu the distinction of being the first Protoss gamer to win two MSLs in a row. However, in season 3 of the MSL, he was defeated by inter.mind in the final by 3 games to 1. Recently, he won his third MSL title hosted by ClubDay, beating JangBi 3-1, making him the protoss with the most StarLeague wins. On February 8, 2009, he won the GOMTV TG Sambo-Intel Classic Season 2 by defeating JangBi yet again 3-1, earning his fourth individual title. He is the first protoss to hold 4 individual titles.

Bisu is known for his consistency in scouting and his use of Dark Templars, as well as for innovating new, different build orders. He revolutionized the way Protoss vs Zerg was played and his PvZ build order is dubbed the "Bisu Build" by his fans. Bisu also became the first Protoss gamer to be ranked #1 by the Korean e-Sports Association (KeSPA), a title he held for a total of six months, and never more than three consecutive months.

[edit] Recent performance

He was defeated in the EVER 2007 OSL by Song Byung-Goo[3], better known as Stork, 3-0. He has just now recently in the 2009 GOMTV TG Sambo-Intel Classic Season 2, where Bisu went on to play Jangbi in the finals and won the best of 5 (bo5) with a score of 3-1. He faced Lee Jae Dong in the 2009 GOMTV TG Sambo-Intel Classic Special Match which pits the winner of Season 1 (Jaedong) with the winner of Season 2 (Bisu). Jaedong won the match 3-2.

He was eliminated 3-0 by Fantasy(SK Telecom T1) from the 2009 Batoo OSL.

He was eliminated 3-2 by Iris (The Berserker Terran) in the quarterfinals of the 2009 Avalon MSL in a series billed as "Beauty and the Beast" by the Korean media.
