The Khangai mountains (mongolian Хангайн нуруу, Khangain nuruu) are a mountain range in central Mongolia, some 400 kilometres west of Ulaanbaatar. It's tallest mountain is the Otgon Tenger Uul (Youngest Sky Mountain), the height of which is given as 3,905, 4,021, and 4,031 m depending on the source. Khangai mountains feed rivers Orkhon, Selenge, Ideriin gol, Zavkhan, Orog, and Böön tsagaan. In the west Khangai mountains transition into Altai Mountains.
