Kha, (Х, х) is a letter of the Cyrillic alphabet, representing the voiceless velar fricative /x/ (the terminal sound in Scottish loch) in all Slavic languages which use cyrilic, except when followed by a palatalizing vowel, when it represents [xʲ]. It derives from the Greek letter chi (Χ, χ). Kha is also an alternative transliteration of the letter خ Ḫāʼ in the Arabic alphabet, which was used in Belarusian, corresponding to the above Cyrillic letter. [edit] See also
