Kent Town (34°55′13″S 138°37′9″E / 34.92028°S 138.61917°E) is a suburb of Adelaide in the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters. It is located adjacent to the Adelaide city centre, across the eastern parklands. The suburb is named after one of Adelaide's first physicians, Dr. Benjamin Archer Kent, who arrived in the colony in 1840 and established a farm and flour mill within the area. Located in the suburb are: a former brewery which has since been restored and redeveloped into apartments which face on to Dequetteville Terrace; Prince Alfred College; and the electoral office for Liberal Party Senator, Nick Minchin, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate.
