Kenny's (also known as Kenny's Lounge, Kenny's Pub and "Hospital 8") is a public house located at 174 James's Street, Dublin 8, Ireland. The pub is best known for being situated at the 1880 birthplace of W. T. Cosgrave, first head of government of the Irish Free State. It is situated in the vicinity of St. James's Gate Brewery, the Royal Hospital Kilmainham and Kilmainham Gaol, Kenny's is frequented by tourists and locals alike. The name "Hospital 8" has also been used locally to describe the pub as it is renowned for its clientele of doctors and nurses from the neighbouring St. James's Hospital which houses seven hospital units. The pub is divided into three areas, the main bar, the main lounge area and a side lounge area called Nora Nagle's in memory the owner of the house that once stood there. There is also a beer garden facility in the main lounge. Locally-based pop band The Script are regular clients of Kenny's. Photographs taken of the band pulling their own pints are on display in the bar. There is also live music in Kenny's every Sunday night and Thursday night.
