Keith J. Fielding is a former rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1960s and '70s who at representative level has played for England (RU), Great Britain (RL), and England (RL), and at club level for Moseley Rugby Football Club (RU), and Salford (RL), playing at Wing (RU), i.e. number 11 or 14, or Wing (RL), i.e. number 2 or 5.
[edit] International HonoursKeith Fielding won caps for England (RU) while at Moseley in 1969 against Ireland, France, Scotland, and South Africa, in 1970 against Ireland, and France; in 1972 against Wales, Ireland, France, and Scotland,[1] won caps for England (RL) while at Salford in 1975 against France; in the 1975 Rugby League World Cup against France, Wales, New Zealand, Australia, Wales and France, in 1975 against Papua New Guinea (non-Test), and won caps for Great Britain (RL) while at Salford in 1974 against France (2 matches); and in the 1977 Rugby League World Cup against France, and Australia.[2] Along with James "Jim" Leytham, Stanley "Stan" Moorhouse, Peter Norburn, Stuart Wright, and Martin Offiah; having scored four tries, Keith Fielding jointly holds the record for the most tries scored in an England (RL) match, scoring four tries against France at Parc Lescure, Bordeaux on the 11th October 1975.
