Karen Christy (born March 11, 1951 in Abilene, Texas) is an American model. She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the December 1971 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Pompeo Posar.

Karen attended North Texas University for one year before dropping out and moving to Dallas. It was there that she attended a job fair for prospective Playboy Bunnies and ended up working at the Playboy Club in Chicago. Soon after she was selected to be a Playmate.

She is one of the most notorious of Hugh Hefner's Playmate-lovers. She became the de facto "first lady" of the Chicago Playboy Mansion at nearly the same time that Hefner was also in a serious relationship with Barbi Benton, who was ensconced in Los Angeles at the Playboy Mansion West. Eventually Hefner was found out and both relationships ended by 1976.

In 1998 publisher Larry Flynt included explicit photos of Christy and Hefner having sex in the August issue of Hustler magazine.
