Kaja Foglio (née Murphy, born 1970) is a Seattle-based writer, artist, and publisher.

Foglio graduated from Juanita High School in Kirkland, Washington in 1988. She attended the University of Washington, where she was heavily involved with the local chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism. After graduating, she married Phil Foglio and they founded Studio Foglio, LLC in 1995. The studio became the venue for her art prints, many produced as cards for Magic: The Gathering. Studio activities quickly expanded into the broader publishing field. The artist co-writes and illustrates the comic book Girl Genius with her husband, Phil. She is also the chief graphic designer and Web-mistress for the Studio Foglio and Airship Entertainment web sites.

Foglio has also illustrated the omnibus edition of Barry Hughart's The Chronicles of Master Li and Number Ten Ox.

She and Phil won the first graphic story Hugo for Girl Genius, Volume 8: Agatha Heterodyne and the Chapel of Bones.^[1]
