Kahe Naa Kahe was an Indian soap opera produced by Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms. The soap was not intended to last any longer then it had aired for (it was more of an experiment) since it was just a special way of introducing the new channel 9X. Kahe Naa Kahe is a refreshing story of a small-town, ordinary girl named Kinjal with extraordinary dreams.

Kahe Naa Kahe is an engrossing drama series created by none other than the Czarina of prime-time television, Ekta Kapoor. The show marked the launch of 9X’s prime time programming on the November 12, 2007.

Ekta’s talented and beautiful young find is Krystle D’Souza, and she plays the lead role of Kinjal. Like other girls her age, Kinjal dreams of love and marriage, but with a big difference. Kinjal’s progressive mother Urmila is aware of her daughter’s dreams, and gives Kinjal her unending support.

Kinjal has four brothers, and a father who thinks that while his four sons can do no good, his daughter can do no wrong, even though she is in the midst of the preparations for her 50th wedding!

Newcomer Krystle D’Souza is extremely excited about playing this lead role with one of the biggest production houses of Indian television drama and on the most exciting and eagerly awaited Hindi GEC, 9X. All of 17 years old, Krystle says, “Playing the lead role in a Balaji show which will be aired on 9X at prime time is like a dream come true! Every teenager dreams of making it big one day, but I did not realize my time would come so soon.”

Kinjal - The only and youngest girl in the family of four siblings, this small town girl is all set to make her career in the city that makes dreams come true. The apple of her father’s eye, she goes against his wishes to pursue her career in order to bring some extra income to sustain her family. A charming and down–to-earth girl, she radiates a bubbly simplicity. She puts her family before her needs and wants to ensure that they all are happy.she gets

Sudhir (Kinjal’s father) - A man of dignity and honour, Sudhir has brought up his kids with strong values. With his roots being deeply etched to his village, he is against moving to big towns and cities as he feels that people change and forget their backgrounds. He is happy at being able to keep his family united and under his loving protection.

Urmila (Kinjal’s mother) - A mother that any young girl would love to have, Urmila is a perfect blend of traditions and modernity. She keeps herself in tune to the modern world, while simultaneously respecting her husband’s traditional and old school of thoughts. A typical mother, she loves to gossip and is a housewife cum working mom.

Neena - One of Kinjal closest aids and confidants, they are close buddies. An aspiring model, Neena is looking for instant fame and success, making it big in the world of glamour. She is wants to get married to a wealthy man in order to fulfill all her dreams and aspirations.

Kanav - The only child to his parents, Kanav is a spoilt brat. Brought up with golden spoon in his mouth, his aspirations are only to mint more and more money. A great business man he utilizes all his time and energy to make money. Though he despises his dad, he has a great relationship with his mother and will do anything to keep her happy.

After 5-6 months of hardly any success the show was pulled off the air due to very low TRP's. It has been replaced by Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki which is another soap from the same production house. However, Kahe Na Kahe was not intended to go past the 9 months it did but even so the show was limited to its success.
