Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (Devnagari: कभी हाँ कभी ना Nastaliq:کبھی ہاں کبھی نہ English: Sometimes yes, sometimes no) is a 1993 Indian Bollywoodfilm directed by Kundan Shah. Shahrukh Khan plays the role named Sunil. The film also stars Suchitra Krishnamurthy, Naseeruddin Shah and Deepak Tijori. This is one of the rare mainstream Hindi movies in which the hero plays the role of a loser, and has been considered one of Shahrukh Khan's best performances. [1] He received the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance for his role.
[edit] SynopsisSunil (Shahrukh Khan) belongs to a middle-class family, and is intent to pursue his career with a music group, despite his dad's (Anjan Srivastav) disapproval. Sunil is also in love with Anna (Suchitra Krishnamoorthy), but Anna does not really love him, and only thinks of him as a friend. Sunil is persistent, but instead Anna openly declares her love for Chris (Deepak Tijori). In order to impress his dad, Sunil forges his examination results, but then later confesses to his family, who receive this news in utter dismay. Due to Chris's parents disapproval Anna and Chris's engagement does not happen and she agrees to marry Sunil. But then Sunil discovers she still loves Chris.He lets Anna and Chris marry instead.
