KILT (610 AM, "Sports Radio 610") is a Sports/Talk formatted radio station in the Houston, Texas, metropolitan area. The station is currently owned by CBS Radio. KILT shares its call letters with sister station 100.3 FM, a country music station.

The station was, for many years, a leading Top 40 station in Houston. The current sports-talk format has been in place since 1995. Over the years the lineups have changed, but the station has consistently been the top-rated sports-talk format since its inception, with only a few brief, short-lived exceptions.

[edit] Controversy

In 2007 a lawsuit was filed by then morning show co-host John Granato against CBS. [1][2] This ultimately led to Granato leaving 610 and starting a new station 1560 The Game. Shortly thereafter, his co-host Lance Zierlein joined him. KGOW has since risen to #1 in the Houston morning sports talk radio market in the Arbitron ratings.
