KÍ Klaksvík is a Faroese football club, playing in Klaksvík, founded in 1904. In 1992 KÍ Klaksvík participated for the first time on a European stage, competing in the Champions League preliminary round against Skonto Riga of Latvia, where they lost 6-1 on aggregate. The club plays in blue and white. Their stadium, Injector Arena, has a capacity of 3000. The most notable player to have played for KÍ Klaksvík is local boy Todi Jónsson. Jónsson's career took him to Lyngby Boldklub and FC Copenhagen of Denmark. In July 2009 KÍ signed former great Todi Jónsson for the reminder of the season. Local boy Atli Danielsen was also signed. However, these signing did not help KÍ's crisis, that had begun in the earlier season, and by the end of the season, KÍ were relegated to 1. deild.
