Jurong Port Pte Ltd (Chinese: 裕廊海港私人有限公司) is the second port operator in [[Singapore]. It started in 1965 and became a division under JTC Corporation in 1968 to support the development of Singapore's pioneer Jurong Industrial Estate. Jurong Port grew rapidly and is widely recognised a premier multi-purpose hub for bulk, breakbulk and containerized cargo in Singapore and the region.

Today, the Port operates a Bulk Terminal, Conventional Terminal, Container Terminal, Penjuru Terminal for lighters, a Small Craft Terminal and mechanical ramps for roll-on roll-off landing crafts. In addition, it houses a Cement Terminal, which is one of the world's largest common-user facilities. The Port is also an accredited transhipment and storage hub for metals traded at the London Metal Exchange.

The Port is now a fully-owned subsidiary of JTC Corporation after its corporatization in 2001. With the new status, it was awarded a full port license by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. The Port started a Container Terminal in July 2001, which grew to be recognised as a "Best Container Terminal Operator - Asia (under 1 million teus)" at the Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards(AFSCA) 2008. It has also won several "Best Emerging Container Terminal Operator - Asia" AFSCA Awards for 5 consecutive years since 2003; and the "Best Asia Pacific Container" Award at the Supply Chain and Management Logistics World Awards 2007.

The Port is hive of activities with over 7,000 vessels calling annually. It thrives on reliability, responsibility and responsiveness.

Jurong port is located next to Jurong Island.

[edit] Accidents

On 14.05.2008 some workers were severely injured. The workers were loading containers onboard MV'Rickmers New Orleans' when they tripped and fell over steel plates. The steel plates were not stacked properly. The Ministry of Manpower issued a 24 hour stop work order to the port. Due to this stop work order the port has to halt all operations.
