Josua Guilavogui (born September 19, 1990 in Ollioules, Toulon, France) is a French footballer of Guinean descent[1] currently playing for Ligue 1 side AS Saint-Étienne.
[edit] Football careerJosua has been apart of Saint-Étienne since 2005 joining the Rhône-Alpes-based side from his local club Sporting Toulon. He was promoted to the senior squad, following the firing of Laurent Roussey and the hiring of new manager Alain Perrin who was looking to reshuffle Saint-Étienne's defense and fill the squad, which was decimated with injuries.[2]He was assigned the number 35 shirt. Josua made professional debut on January 3, 2009 coming on as a late-match substitute playing in a Saint-Étienne's 1-0 victory over Bordeaux in the Coupe de France.[3] [edit] International CareerJosua is a France youth international having played for the U-17s, U-18s, and the France U-19 squad. He participated in the 2009 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship with the under-19 team.
