In addition to these business platforms the José de Mello Group is also involved in the financial sector, through a major strategic shareholding in Millennium bcp (Banco Comercial Português), Portugal's biggest private financial group. Brisa - Auto-estradas de Portugal, a company related with highway exploration and management also has strong José de Mello's shareholding ownership, as well as EFACEC, Portugal's leader in electromechanics engineering.
