José de Jesús Corona Rodriguez (born on January 26, 1981 in Guadalajara, Jalisco) is a Mexican international football goalkeeper who currently plays for Cruz Azul in the Primera División de México. Corona started his career in F.C. Atlas in 2002, being an important and vital goalkeeper for Atlas. Playing 47 games from 2002 to 2004, he was transferred to Tecos UAG in 2004. Corona has been capped by the Mexico national football team, and was recently called up to represent his country in the 2006 World Cup as the 2nd goalkeeper for Mexican national team. He is also well remembered for his stunning performance against Boca Juniors when he played for Chivas de Guadalajara as a loan in the 2005 edition of Copa Libertadores. In 2007 Hugo Sánchez, the new coach of the Mexican national football team, included Corona in the Mexican list for the 2007 Copa América and Gold Cup respectively as the 3rd Goalkeeper. On June 16, 2009, Corona signed on to play with Cruz Azul for 3 years.[1] [edit] Honours[edit] International
