Jonathan Soriano Casas (born September 24, 1985 in El Pont de Vilomara, Barcelona, Catalonia) is a Spanish footballer who currently plays with FC Barcelona Atlètic, as a forward.

[edit] Club career

Having emerged through RCD Espanyol's youth ranks, Soriano made his debut with the first team during 2002–03, on December 1, 2002, playing one minute in a 3–1 home win against Rayo Vallecano, while still registered with the B side (not being admitted as a fulltime first-team member until 2005–06).

He spent the second halves of that season and the following serving second division loan stints, after which he returned to Catalonia, netting twice in 24 appearances during the season (incidentally in both 1–0 wins over Getafe CF).

In late January 2009, Soriano moved again on loan (and in the second level), joining Albacete Balompié until the end of the season, and being released by the Catalonians after this spell, his contract not having been renewed.

In late July 2009, he returned to Catalonia, joining FC Barcelona's reserves, in level three. He made his first team debut on October 28, 2009, playing the dying minutes of the 0–2 triumph at Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa, for the King's Cup.
