Jonathan Legard (born July 1961 in Cardiff, Wales) is a British sports commentator specialising in Formula One. He is currently the third commentator for the BBC's Formula One TV coverage alongside Jake Humphrey and Martin Brundle.

Legard has been BBC's motor racing and football correspondent as well as commentating on several Formula One races for BBC Radio 5 Live in the early 2000s. On 24 November 2008, it was confirmed that he would partner Brundle as commentator for BBC's Formula One coverage in 2009.^[1]

Although born in Cardiff, Legard grew up in Chester after moving there in 1966. He attended the First School before continuing his education at a private school in Shrewsbury. Legard is a lifelong fan of Chester City F.C., who play their football in the Football Conference.^[2]

Legard is married to Kate and has three children - Piers, Arabella and Crispin. He lives in London.
