[edit] Playing career

Sutton's junior football was played at Kensington and with the Coogee Wombats. He made his first grade debut in Round 17 of the 2004 season for the South Sydney Rabbitohs against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

In 2009, Sutton moved to play at five eighth for the Rabbitohs.[1]

[edit] Representative career

In 2005, Sutton was selected for the Australian Prime Minister's XIII.

Whilst Fiji Bati attempted to call Sutton up for their training squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup.[2], Sutton has never played for Fiji[3][4].

Sutton was named in the preliminary 40 man squad for game 1 of the 2009 State of Origin series and was selected for City in the City vs Country match on 8 May 2009.[5] He was one of the favorite for the NSW halves combination, but injured a knuckle during the City-Country match (Ironically replaced in that game by Craig Wing) and missed the Origin series as a result.

In 2009 Sutton won the George Piggins Medal as the South Sydney Rabbitohs' best and fairest player for the season.[6]

[edit] Personal Life

Sutton is a member of the Maroubra Bra Boys brotherhood.[7]
