John Nathan Henderson (born January 9, 1979 in Nashville, Tennessee) is an American football defensive tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League. On March 21, 2006 he signed a contract extension to stay put in Jacksonville, the contract is worth $34 million dollars with $13.4 million in guarantees.[1] He was selected to the Pro Bowl following the 2004 and 2006 seasons. Henderson has a unique motivational ritual before games that involves a team trainer slapping him in the face.[2]
