John Hackworth is an American soccer coach currently working as an assistant to United States national team coach Bob Bradley, and as the technical director of the U.S. Soccer Federation's Bradenton Academy. He was appointed to that position on October 24, 2007.

A native of Dunedin, Florida, Hackworth played soccer at Brevard College and Wake Forest University before joining the U.S. national staff was head coach at the University of South Florida. In 2002, Hackworth was hired as an assistant to Under-17 National Team coach John Ellinger, and took over the Under-17s in 2004 when Ellinger left to become head coach at Real Salt Lake. Hackworth coached the U.S. squad at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2005 and 2007.

On November 9th 2009, Hackworth was hired by the expansion MLS Philadelphia Union as a Coach and Youth Development Coordinator.
