The John D. Runkle School is a primary school located in Brookline, MA. The school currently teaches around 500 students in a three-story red brick school building, which includes a computer lab and is adjacent to a playground of about 1-acre (4,000 m²). Usually, there are two classes at each grade level. The school is scheduled to be renovated in 2010.

The school was established by the town in 1897 and named after the second President of MIT, who was also a chairman of the Brookline School Committee and an early advocate of mathematics and science.

The school offer several sports teams including Cross Country, Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, and Track and Field.
