John "Jock" Buchanan (born 15 March 1899 in Paisley) was a Scottish professional footballer. Buchanan started his career at Johnstone before moving to St Mirren in 1919 and then onto Greenock Morton in 1921. In December 1927 he joined Rangers and had instant success. He won four League Championships and two Scottish Cup's. He left Rangers in 1931 and join Linfield in Northern Ireland. He moved back to Scotland for a final season with East Stirlingshire before retiring in 1933.
