Joan Burke is a Canadian politician. She currently represents the riding of St. George's-Stephenville East in the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly. She is a member of the Progressive Conservatives. In May 2008, Burke was named Government House Leader, the first time a woman has been appointed to this position in the history of Newfoundland and Labrador.
