Jamshid "Jimmy" Delshad (Persian: جیمی دلشاد) is an Iranian-American politician in the state of California. He was elected Mayor of Beverly Hills^[1] on March 21, 2007, he is the first Iranian-American to hold public office in Beverly Hills. He currently holds the position of vice mayor in the Beverly Hills City Council.^[2]

Delshad left Shiraz, Iran in 1959 and came to the United States with his brothers. He started a technology company in 1978. In 1990 he became the first Persian Jew to be elected as president of Sinai Temple, Los Angeles' oldest and largest Conservative congregation. In 2003 he ran for the Beverly Hills city council, and was elected mayor in 2007.^{[3] [4]}

Delshad is an alumnus of California State University, Northridge and the University of Minnesota.
