This is a List of contestants who have appeared on the American television series The Amazing Race. Contestants with a pre-existing relationship form a team and race around the world against other teams to claim a grand prize of 1,000,000 USD. The original American series premiered in 2001 and as of 2009, there have been fifteen seasons aired with locations spanning all six inhabited continents. In total, 334 contestants have appeared in the series, with 22 of them competing again on The Amazing Race: All-Stars in 2007. The series also aired a special Family Edition that contained 10 teams of four family members, including children as young as 8.
