For information about The film producer Jim Ballantine, see Jim Ballantine (producer).
Jim Ballantine (born November 6, 1967 in Union Lake, Michigan, died 2002) was an American ice hockey center. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Ballantine started his career with the Columbus Chill in the ECHL. He also played for the Richmond Renegades (ECHL), Indianapolis Ice (IHL), and Dallas Freeze (CHL). His stats are not highly impressive, his biggest claim to fame is being the first player to wear a 3-digit number (101) in a professional game. He died in 2002. [edit] External links
