Jet from London formed in 1974. Members were Andy Ellison (vocals, ex-John's Children), Martin Gordon (bass, ex-Sparks), Chris Townson (drums, formerly in John's Children and Jook), David O'List (lead guitar, ex-The Nice) and Peter Oxendale (keyboards). They released one eponymous album in 1975, produced by Roy Thomas Baker. Dropped by the record label in 1976, they regrouped without O'List and Oxendale, moved to Chiswick Records and changed their name to Radio Stars.

After a long period as sideman/producer, Jet's songwriter/composer/bass player Martin Gordon embarked on a solo career in 2001, releasing 4 CDs in the so-called Mammal Trilogy on Radiant Future Records. The fifth and final part of the Trilogy is due in 2009.
