Jessica Myrtle "Jessie" Spano is a fictional character from the sitcom Saved by the Bell, played by Elizabeth Berkley.

Jessie is a lifelong friend of Zack Morris, Samuel "Screech" Powers, Lisa Turtle and Kelly Kapowski. Although seen as intelligent, Jessie has a somewhat neurotic streak and has issues with her height due to being one of the taller girls, this occasion occurred in few episodes, well noted when she did not want to dance with Brett, who was not as tall as her.

Jessie is often the first to speak up when she feels something is unjust. She is a feminist liberal, most likely Democratic. From sophomore year until the end of the series, Jessie dates athlete A.C. Slater in a chalk-and-cheese relationship, which causes friction between the both of them. Jessie and Slater's relationship is put to the test several times over the course of the series, most notably during a kissing scene in a school play involving Jessie and Zack, Jessie's caffeine pill addiction, and when Slater's girlfriend from Germany moves to Bayside.

Jessie is also on the swim team and the cheerleading squad with Kelly and Lisa.

In Junior Year, both of Jessie's parents remarry and she clashes with her stepmother and stepbrother; however, after two episodes, neither are seen or mentioned again.

Before graduation, Jessie has her hopes pinned on becoming valedictorian but ultimately loses out to Screech. However, Screech concedes the honor to her.

After graduation, Jessie goes off to attend Columbia University.

Jessie, with Lisa, returns as one of Kelly's bridesmaids at Zack and Kelly's wedding in Las Vegas.
