Jerry Seu Seu (born 19 April 1974) is a former New Zealand and Samoan rugby league player. His position of choice was as a prop forward.
[edit] Playing careerA Mangere East Hawks junior, SeuSeu represented the Counties Manukau Heroes in the Lion Red Cup in 1995 and 1996 before joining the Auckland Warriors where he was named Reserve Grader of the Year in 1997 in a side that lost the Reserve Grade Grand Final. Seu Seu then became a stalwart in the New Zealand Warriors front row after Joe Vagana left the club to join Bradford Bulls in 2000, making over 120 appearances and scoring 6 tries. The tough New Zealander joined the Wigan Warriors at the start of the 2005 season. His younger brother, Anthony Seuseu, also played in Super League VIII with strugglers Halifax. The Twelfth Man also did a small sketch on Jerry, when he was in character as Ray Warren and calling a Rugby Game. Ray referred to Jerry as " Jerry Seu Seu and I see you too, Jerry Jerry". [edit] InternationalHe represented New Zealand's national side 11 times, locking horns with Andy Farrell and Adrian Morley during the first Test against the touring New Zealanders at the end of 2002. [edit] Personal lifeHe is a religious man and a university graduate.[citation needed] [edit] RetirementSeu Seu retired from rugby league at the end of the 2006 Super League season after two years playing for Wigan Warriors.
