Jenny Hoyston is the lead vocalist of the San Francisco, CA, USA political punk and no wave band Erase Errata. She also releases records and performs worldwide under her solo moniker Paradise Island, and has appeared on records with William Elliott Whitmore, Hawnay Troof, Xbxrx, King Cobra and others.

Hoyston began her road career in 1994 as the bassist for Michigan-based all-woman punk band day twenty-eight. After arriving in San Francisco in 1997 she formed noise-rock duo California Lightning with future Erase Errata drummer Bianca Sparta. During this time Hoyston also played guitar in the all-woman darkwave quintet Subtonix (Troubleman Records). Erase Errata formed in 1999 and shortly after Hoyston began releasing solo records under the name Paradise Island.

Isle of, released on Sept 11, 2007 on Southern Records, is Hoyston's most recent full length recording and was tracked in Detroit with engineer Collin Dupuis, in Portland with engineer Christina Files (Shannon Wright, Mary Timony, Swirlies) and on four track cassette in Hoyston's bedroom in San Francisco. Isle Of received 3.5 stars in Rolling Stone among other praise upon its release.

Other releases by Hoyston as Paradise Island include: Lines Are Infinitely Fine (Dim Mak), Beast (Cochon), Squirrel (Latitudes), Purple Prize (Troubleman) and Getup (Dim Mak).

Hoyston relocated from San Francisco to Portland, Oregon but maintains ties to California, producing the annual woman-centered Fabulosa Fest located in Guerneville, California. She also occasionally tours with Erase Errata.
