Jeffrey Philip Fiorentino (born April 14, 1983 in Pembroke Pines, Florida) is an American Major League Baseball outfielder who is currently a free agent. He attended Florida Atlantic University and Nova High School in Davie Florida.[1] His nickname is Screech due to his resemblance to the Dustin Diamond character from the television situation comedy Saved by the Bell.[2] [edit] BiographyDuring the 2005 season, he played several games for the Baltimore Orioles after being called up from the Single-A Frederick Keys. He was then sent back down after nearly two weeks of action at the major league level. In 2006 and 2007, he played for the Double-A Bowie Baysox. The Orioles designated Fiorentino for assignment on January 2, 2008, and on January 4 he was claimed by the Cincinnati Reds. On January 25, he was claimed off waivers by the Oakland Athletics. After being designated for assignment on May 30, he was claimed off waivers by his original team, the Orioles, on June 5. There were some trade talks with the New York Mets. [edit] References
