Jeff Bes (born on July 31, 1973 in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada), is an ice hockey centre who has played for many teams from 1990 to the present such as the Dayton Bombers, Chicago Wolves, Mississippi Sea Wolves, Orlando Solar Bears, Jacksonville Lizard Kings, SaiPa and several other teams including the Dukes of Hamilton.

[edit] Junior career

Bes began his junior career in 1990-91, playing for the Hamilton Dukes of the Ontario Hockey League. He would score 23 goals and 47 assists for 70 points. His time with Hamilton would be short lived as the following season they would become the Guelph Storm. He would play the 1991-92 season with the new, Storm, and finish with 40 goals and 62 assists for 102 points. He would spend the 1992-93 campaign with the Storm again, scoring 48 goals and 67 assists.

Bes would be selected by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft with the 58th pick in the 3rd round. He would never see regular season action, but was considered a top prospect in the National Hockey League at the time.

Bes would be fortunate enough to be selected for the 1993 World Junior Championships in Sweden, where he would play on a line with NHL star, Paul Kariya. He would end up winning the Gold Medal with Team Canada.

[edit] Pro career

Bes would spend the next 11 years going back and forth between leagues, such as the International Hockey League, the East Coast Hockey League and the American Hockey League. He would then sign with the Central Hockey League's, Laredo Bucks, where he is currently playing during the 2009-10 season.
