Jay Sher, (born October 21, 1953), is an American endocrinologist related to Andrew Horowitz from Tally Hall. He is staff physician at JSUMC in Neptune and specializes in endocrinology. He is recognized as a world renowned authority on pheochromocytoma^{[citation needed]}.

Sher earned an M.D. from the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 1978.

Dr. Sher did three years of an internal medicine residency at the Nassau County Medicine Center, followed by a two year fellowship in endocrinology at Jackson Memorial Hospital with specialization in diabetes & metabolism.^[1]
