Jay Steven Adelson (born September 7, 1970) is the CEO of Digg and chairman of Revision3. Prior, he was the founder and chief technology officer of Equinix, Inc., which he founded in 1998 and was one of the founders of the PAIX in 1996, before its purchase by Switch and Data in 2003. In 1993, he ran network operations at Netcom (USA), before leaving for Digital Equipment Corporation to become Operations Manager of the PAIX. He was named one of TIME magazine's TIME 100, Time in 2008.

On July 15, 2003, he testified before the United States House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Emerging Threats, Cybersecurity, and Science and Technology, as part of an industry panel on "The Private Sector's Role in Keeping America's Cyberspace Secure."

Adelson graduated from the Cranbrook Kingswood School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and holds degrees in Computer Science and Film and Broadcasting from Boston University.
