Jarrad Grant (born 6 July 1989) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Western Bulldogs Football Club in the Australian Football League from 2008. Recruited from his TAC Cup team, the Dandenong Stingrays, Grant is an AIS/AFL Academy graduate hailing from the Frankston Bombers. [1] . Grant nominated for the 2007 AFL National Draft. He was selected by the Bulldogs with their first selection (#5 overall) in the hope that he would add height and marking power to the Bulldogs small forward line.[2]. On 22 February Jarrad (who was named as an emergency for the NAB Cup game later that night against the Bombers) was stung by a stingray. Ironically he played for Dandenong Stingrays at Under 18's level. He was later released from hospital but missed the game. Jarrad's nick name is Golly, (as in golly wog because of his hair). He attended the Peninsula School where he played in the AGS league. Kicking 8 goals in one Quarter. Jarrad's first kick in a game was a Supergoal (9 Points) in the NAB CUP. He hurt his shoulder in the first quarter of his first AFL game and is currently injured. [edit] References
