James Cobb or James H. Cobb is an author who has written several novels and short stories. His novels include Choosers of the Slain (1996, set in 2006), Sea Strike (1997, set in 2006) (titled Storm Dragon in the UK), Sea Fighter (2000, set in 2007), and Target Lock (2002, set in 2008) in the Amanda Lee Garrett series and The Arctic Event in the Covert-One series.^[2][3] Cobb's short stories have appeared in anthologies including Civil War Fantastic, Blue and the Gray Undercover: All New Civil War Spy Adventures, First to Fight II, and Victory.^[3]

Cobb was born in Tacoma, Washington.
