Jamar Mondell Fletcher (born August 28, 1979 in St. Louis, Missouri) is an American football cornerback who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins 26th overall in the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at Wisconsin.

Fletcher has also played for the San Diego Chargers, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans and Cincinnati Bengals.

Fletcher played high school football at Hazelwood East.

At Wisconsin, Fletcher won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's best defensive back. He was also a key member of the Badgers' back-to-back Rose Bowl Champion teams. A member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.

[edit] Miami Dolphins

Fletcher was originally a first round pick in the 2001 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins out of the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

In 2004, Fletcher was traded to the San Diego Chargers.

It was announced that Fletcher signed a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions on May 1, 2006.

In 2007 Fletcher signed with the Houston Texans.

[edit] Cincinnati Bengals

Fletcher signed with the Cincinnati Bengals on September 23, 2008. After becoming an unrestricted free agent following the 2008 season, he went unsigned. He was re-signed on August 2, 2009 after rookie cornerback David Jones injured his foot.[1] The Bengals released Fletcher on August 29.
