[edit] HistoryJake Turner (October 12, 1984) is the guitarist/vocalist of the band Say Anything. He was the singer/guitarist in the now defunct bands Parkside View and Safety In Numbers. He has a side-project with his twin brother called XO. He also manages a band called Picture Atlantic out of the Bay Area, CA. He grew up in a small suburb outside of Atlanta, Georgia called Peachtree City, Georgia, known for its golf cart paths. [edit] MusicHe has been playing guitar since fourth grade, starting to sing not long after. He started his first band in 8th grade with his twin brother, Jeff Turner, and best friend, Casey McBride, now with Cool Hand Luke. This band eventually became Parkside View. Andy Jackson of the now defunct band Hot Rod Circuit asked Turner to join his side-project Safety In Numbers as a senior in high school; he accepted, thus "pulling double duty" throughout his first year in college at Georgia State University. Not long after, both bands broke up. Soon after he met Max Bemis (singer) and Coby Linder (drummer) of Say Anything while working as a guitar technician for Hot Rod Circuit and Straightguy Fun. Immediately after that tour, Max and Coby split with the other members of Say Anything and asked the Turner twins to join them. After joining the band, Turner and his brother decided to start a side-project of their own, XO, with which recently self-released an EP called Someday. This EP will be re-released by Jackie Darling (Amy Fleisher of Fiddler Records and of the Death And Taxes Magazine) in the late Winter of 2009. [edit] External links
