The Jacksonville Suns are a minor league baseball team that plays in Jacksonville, Florida. The team is a member of the Southern League and is the is the Double-A affiliate of the Florida Marlins. The Suns won the International League title in 1968 and the Southern League championship in 1996, 2001, 2005, and 2009. In the past the Suns have been affiliated with the Los Angeles Dodgers (2001-2008), Kansas City Royals (1972-1984), Montreal Expos (1970, 1985-1990), Milwaukee Brewers (who shared an affiliation with the Montreal Expos in 1970),[1] Seattle Mariners (1991-1994), and Detroit Tigers (1994-2000). The team plays at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, an 11,000-person capacity park that opened in 2003.

The 2009 season is over. Minor-league clubs do not maintain rosters during the offseason. A new roster will be assigned by the parent club during 2010 spring training.
