Jack Tempchin is an American musician and singer-songwriter, best known for writing the Eagles classic "Peaceful Easy Feeling" and co-writing their hit "Already Gone" with band member Glenn Frey. In all, he co-wrote more than dozen songs with the Eagle, including Frey's solo hits "Smuggler's Blues" and "You Belong to the City."[1] Among numerous other songs, Tempchin wrote "Slow Dancin' (Swayin' to the Music). The song was first recorded by the short-lived group "The Funky Kings" which Tempchin was a member of at the time. In 1977 the song became a top 10 pop hit for Johnny Rivers and in 1979 it was a top 10 country hit for Johnny Duncan. Tempchin also shared co-writing credits with Kostas for Sammy Kershaw's 1995 single "Your Tattoo". Tempchin also has toured extensively as a solo artist over the years, opening for artists such as Ringo Starr, Jackson Browne, Dave Mason,Poco, Dolly Parton, Karla Bonoff, Chicago, Christopher Cross, Kenny Loggins, and Emmylou Harris.[2] [edit] Discography
