J.E. Freeman (born February 2, 1946) is an American actor, often cast in tough guy roles. His roles include Eddie Dane in Miller's Crossing, Wren in Alien Resurrection, Santos in Wild at Heart, Marty Cantor in Patriot Games, Lt Thomas Quinn in Copycat, the Bedroom Killer in Ruthless People, Victor Sr in Go and a tow truck driver who minces words with Chuck Norris in An Eye for an Eye.

He is openly gay. In 2009, he published a letter to the editor on sfgate.com, detailing his reminiscences of the 1969 Stonewall riots.^[1]
